Each a prayer to prepare for your arrival.
Encouraging God, we pray to be a spark of hope
For those that need it most this Christmas.
Help us bring assurances of your grace.
Gentle God, we pray to be a bringer of peace,
A creator of calm in a hectic season.
Help us find time to remember you.
Celebrating God, we pray to be a reminder of joy,
For this is a time of celebration.
Help us feel the joyfulness of your coming.
Caring God, we pray to be an embodiment of love,
To follow your teachings to care for each other.
Help us share your love with those who may have trouble feeling it.
Newly arriving God,
Help us live in the spirit of Christmas all the rest of the year.
